Bucks Open Studios at Obsidian Art
7 June - 7 July 2013
Selected members of the Buckinghamshire Pottery and Sculpture Society, including Richard Ballantyne, Peter Stocker and Sarah Rooms-Heaphy, will be showing work alongside stunning fused and sand-cast glass by Ewa Wawrzniak, paintings by Edward Stamp RI, Alan Kidd, Sally Fisher and Graham Turner, paper-cuts by Jessie Marlton, wonderful hand-crafted wooden clocks by David Rodgers and stunning framed textiles by Rachel Wright.
We are also delighted to be featuring vibrant and inspirational work produced by patients in the creative arts groups at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

"The Horse in Art"

Our annual equine themed exhibition. Featuring some of the best British equien artists and makers. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to The Home of Rest for Horses.

"Dogs & Cats"

Feline & canine themed exhibition. All styles & dog & cat subjects in a wide range of media - painting, illustration, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, textiles, glass, wood, metal, jewellery, etc. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to Hearings Dogs for the Deaf.

An exciting varied show of selected work by this popular and respected art society. The exhibition also features work from local schools as part of the Young Artists' Awards, a Countywide initiative runs by the Bucks Art Society to promote art in schools.

"Winter Wonders"

This themed exhibition featured selected work inspired by the season. The exhibition will include a wide range of media including paintings, printmaking, photography, textiles, ceramics, glass and jewellery.

"Folk & Fairytale"

A magical selected exhibition of folk art and art inspired by folklore and fairtyales by British artists and makers.
We are delighted to announce that writer & illustrator, Jackie Morris, will be at the gallery on Friday 17th May from 4pm. Jackie will be reading excerpts from two of her latest titles, including her newest book, due to be published in the summer.
