For Bucks Open Studios this year, Obsidian Art is delighted to be able to showcase by some of the best local artists & makers - with a high quality exhibition of varied and exciting work.

Alena Carvalho
Alena Carvalho is a skilled artist taking ordinary scenes of urban life and capturing them in paint. Contemporary acrylic, watercolour and mixed media paintings inspired by London and other European cities and towns.
Meet the artist on Thursday 14th & 21st from 2pm.

An exciting selected exhibition of ceramics and sculpture by selected potters & sculptors from The Buckinghamshire Sculpture & Pottery Society. Carol Read, Chris Inder, Denise Williams, Jeremy White, Kay Singla, Kim Lim, Marion Calvert, Peter Stocker, Richard Ballantyne, Rosemary Dwight and Sarah Rooms-Heaphy will be showing a wonderful range of thrown and sculpted pieces both indoor and outside in our courtyard garden.

Working in watercolour, oil, acrylic, & wood engraving, usually small scale Bucks landscapes painted en plein air. Edward Stamp is an elected member of the RI (Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours) & the Society of Wood Engravers.
Meet the artist on Sunday 17th & 24th from 2pm.

Ewa produces stunning sand cast glass sculpture and beautiful kiln formed glass - wall panels, sculpture & dishes; architectural and decoratived.
We always have a range of Ewa's glass at the gallery throughout the year.
Ewa will be at the gallery demonstrating her toold and techniques on Tuesday 12th June from 1-4pm.

Jennifer creates impressionistic paintings of landscapes, townscapes and people. She will be demonstrating at the gallery on Thursday 14 June & again on Thursday 21 June from 2pm. These demonstrations are free to attend..

Kate will be showinga wide range of jewellery created by using a variety of techniques and materials. Her jewellery incorporates textured silver or tin plate units combined with acrylics, resins, foils and crystals. A collection of many moods for many occasions including weddings.
Kate will be at the gallery on Friday 15th & Friday 22nd June and will be happy to discuss her making methods, and any commission requirements to create a spec.

Fresh, spontaneous, lively, inspirational work carried out in acrylic, watercolour and mixed media. Inspired by buildings, places and objects in a semi abstract style.
Nathalie will be at the gallery on Sunday 17th and 24th June from 2pm.

Rachel's exquisite embroideries delicately echo aspects of landscape, nature and the sea, in hand or machine embroidered collages, using intricately worked vibrant threads, beautiful fabrics and papers. Carefully chosen iridescent fabrics capture the light and bring the work to life.
Rachel will be at the gallery to discuss her work on Thursday 14th & 21st from 2pm.

Beautiful Kiln Formed Glass Panels
Unique framed pictures made from kiln formed glass, some with relief and many influenced by the energy of the sea.
Meet the artist at the gallery on Saturday 23 June from 12 noon.
