Jean Whitson

Jean was introduced to china painting in the 1980s and in the 1990’s began painting in watercolours, progressing to acrylics, pastels and oils. Painting has now become a significant part of her life. Jean loves to paint and is moved by colour, shape and atmosphere. She is a member of The Buckinghamshire Art Society and for the past 3 years been actively involved in Studio 18.  Jean has successfully exhibited in The Mall Galleries, London, in both the National Pastel Society and The Society of Women Artists exhibitions and in exhibitions, in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Shropshire.

Diane Bedser

Diane aims to communicate her interpretations of ideas, emotions and impressions, rather than a specific locality.  From an initial stimulus focussing on colour, pattern or movement, the painting evolves through a process of discovery which is both exciting and challenging. She places importance on lively but sensitive mark making and exciting colour often layering them to create surface interest. Diane has successfully exhibited her work abroad enabling it to become distributed in many countries. Her work was shown at The Society of Women Artist’s exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.

Eileen Dimmock
Born in Liverpool, Eileen has lived in Hertfordshire for 25 years. She has been painting for many years and, although largely self-taught, has benefited from the help and encouragement of a number of professional artists. Eileen works in all media, enjoying the special qualities of each, but also mixing media to create interesting effects. She has exhibited widely and has had her work accepted for a number of prestigious London shows..
Pamela Hearn
Pam's interest in the Arts, and particularly in painting, led her to study at the Sir John Cass School of Art in Whitechapel from 1983 -1987. She draws inspiration from the landscape and particularly from places visited. She says of her work, " The approach to my work may be figurative or non-figurative defined
only by a personal response to my subject, but always aiming to explore atmosphere, feeling and colour.  I have recently taken up watercolour painting which has added a new dimension to my work,  enjoying its  loose forms and variety of effects."
Pippa Greensmith

Pippa uses a variety of different media. She is fascinated by the colours and patterns in landscapes and seascapes, particularly when seen from a height.  She loves experimenting with the zing of acrylic colours and the textures of collage and printmaking combined with paints and pastels.
